Year after year, practice development is near the top of the annual "Management of an Accounting Practice" (MAP) Survey in terms of biggest challenge facing today's practitioners." A major contributor to this response is the fact that most small and mid-sized CPA firms (i.e., those with annual revenue below $15M) are confronted with a lack of practice development resources (both time and capital) when it comes to their marketing and sales function. When lack of resources is coupled with an acute lack of experience in managing the practice development function, most CPAs resign themselves to the notion that "marketing may work in other firms, but not for us." Many of these firms are experiencing keen competition from other firms that seem to have mastered the art of marketing.

We simply ask clients to get involved in the practice development program where the "rubber meets the road" (i.e., when an opportunity has been created or exists to expand an existing relationship, pursue a referral, or develop and build a relationship with a prospect or "future client.")
